Three reputed organisers have come together for the first time to establish International Deaf Summit 2020. A brief description of each organisers are given below.
DEAF LEADERS FOUNDATION
Deaf Leaders Foundation is registered trust and a NGO initiated in March 2003 by our Team with the focused objective of contributing to the betterment and understanding of DEAF people in India. It strives for the integration and main streaming of DEAF persons by creating facilities for the utilization of their skills / abilities, to enable and empower them to lead more meaningful lives as full members of society.
The LEADERS also make serious attempts to dispel some of the stereotyped images that the general public has of deaf persons and is a focused advocacy organization emphasizing the rights of deaf persons. Towards this the leaders are involved in a wide range of activities from publishing and higher education at university level to employment culture, recreation, legislation and human rights. The LEADERS believe that if the opportunities are given at the right time, anything is possible. All it takes is an open mind.

The organization has been involved in large scale projects in the past that have impacted thousands of beneficiaries. The organization has conducted National Youth Leadership Training of the Deaf every year since 2010, organized a Conference on Innovative Technologies, Sign Language Awareness and Education for the prosperity of the Deaf, and conducted basic programs on Sign language and skill development classes both for the children as well as the teachers. It is also involved in sensitization drives among community on sign language and organized the 1st Indian Deaf Film Festival 2011 & 2nd Indian International Deaf Film Festival 2014. Also 6th IIDFF at New Delhi, In collaboration with Directorate of Film Festival, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, New Delhi
For its exemplary work, it has received numerous accolades; some of them are ‘Talk with Amazing Indians’, Best Social Worker award by Government of Tamil Nadu, Rajya Ratha – Award by National Integrity cultural trust, Chennai and Best Achievement Award for Deaf Social Work by Kerala members of St. Louis Institute for the Deaf Alumni Association, Chennai. Also received National Role Best Award 2016 from the Honorable President of India & Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi
DEAF CAN FOUNDATION
Vision: Equity for deaf people
Mission: We work in partnership with the Deaf Community to enhance the quality of life of deaf people, strengthen the community and advocate for changes that will ensure fundamental rights and freedom.
The Deaf Can Foundation’s main focus is to prepare the Deaf to walk with the times. We are dedicated to work for the development of the Deaf community and enhance the quality of their lives by providing educational facilities, promoting social and cultural awareness and working towards barrier free communication for the Deaf. The activities of DCF include Educational Courses in English, Computers, and Life Skills. We also conduct Leadership Training, Personality Development Programs and Seminars, Interpreting Services, Sign Language Seminars and Deaf Education Methodology Seminars for Schools, HIV Awareness Workshops in urban areas, Deaf Women Empowerment and Cultural Programs among others.
At inspiralive, there is a team of deaf professionals working together on different projects involved in promoting awareness and branding such as website developments, graphic arts + printing, domain registration, web-hosting and Information Technology.
Objective of inspiralive is to empower the Deaf people towards their development utilizing the use of Technology combined with ideas and proposals for new projects.
Turn Ideas into Actions: From time to time, the team gather at odd places not only to fish out the new ideas and dreams, but also to plan and formulate several strategies in making the dreams a reality.
Making A Difference: The team are always constantly improving the projects they put their hands on. The line “We can do this better” is the driving force behind implementing several improvements in the projects.
